  • From Barcelona Airport

A taxi ride from T1 or T2 terminals of the airport takes approximately 20 minutes and costs about 30 euros. Other options are:
    - Metro: Line 9 Sud (Orange Line) of Metro connects directly both airport terminals to our Institute in 35 minutes. To arrive at IRI you need to get off at its last station (Zona Universitària station). In order to use this line from the Airport, you will need a special ticket that is different from those used at the rest of metro lines.
    - Aerobus + Metro: "Aerobus" is a special bus service that connects both airport terminals to different places in Barcelona downtown. Choose Aerobus Line A1 if your flight has landed in Terminal 1, and Aerobus line A2 if you are in Terminal 2. These buses leave every 5 minutes and take approximately 35 minutes to arrive at Barcelona downtown. Nearest stop from both lines to IRI is "Pl.Espanya" stop. From this point, you can reach us by Metro Line 3 (Green Line). Aerobus ticket is not valid for metro services.
    - Suburban railway + Metro: There is a suburban railway service (called "Rodalies de Catalunya") that leaves every 30 minutes from airport Terminal 2 to Barcelona city. If your flight has landed in Terminal 1 you can go to Terminal 2 by taking a free shuttle bus that connects both terminals. The nearest suburban railway stop to IRI is "Barcelona-Sants" stop. Until this point, it takes 20 minutes approximately. Once there, you can arrive at IRI by taking Metro Line 3 (Green Line). The same ticket is valid for suburban railway and metro services.
