Bernat Joseph Duran received his degree in Mathematics (2007), M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (2009) and Ph.D. in Automatic Control (2014) from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC).

His main research area is Real-Time Control of water networks including modelling, optimal control, state estimation and optimization. He has been involved on several research projects regarding modelling and control of water networks in the urban water cycle since 2009.
