Manuscripts, Italian - Facsimiles
This is a irreplaceable edition of the Madrid Codices done in both Italian and English. It is for the very serious student or researcher on Leonardo Da Vinci. The Codices were discovered in the National Library of Spain in 1965 and published with arrangements of the Spanish Ministry of Education. They were edited and writen by the renowned Vincian scholar Ladislao Reti who worked on these at the University of California at Los Angeles. Only 985 were placed on sale and most of these are in Univeristy Research Libraries. Unlike many projects such as this, this is a beautiful set when on a shelf in your home or library. It contains facinating information not obtainable from any other source. It takes days to study the complete set of 5 volumes.
