The following is a screenshot of the
current graphical user interface, designed with
Glade-2. Red squares are buses, black lines
are branches, and green lines are switches. Source buses on top of the
trees are indicated by "transformer" symbols (indicating these are
connections to the transmission network). Boxed buses, usually at the leav c are "consumer" nodes.
All switches are mouse-sensitive, so that you can change their
state by clicking on them and see the new state of the network. The
computed bus voltages (branch intensities) can be seen by placing the
mouse on a bus (branch) and watching the status bar message at the
bottom of the window. Blackout areas (caused by the opening of
some switches) are indicated as grey "halos" around the affected
subnetwork.
