Description

In the context of the CLOTHILDE project, new simulation techniques for the manipulation of garments have to be explored. Simulation is very useful to gather data that can be used to learn robotic manipulations.

This project explores the use of SOFA[1] to simulate the robotized manipulation of textiles. Additionally, the project includes the simulation of a robot assisting a human to dress, that implies the inclusion of a human puppet either static or with motion.

The project includes close collaboration with the developers of SOFA, INSA France, and even the possibility of spending some time in France if necessary.
